Molly McGrath

Publisher

Molly is a writer, editor, and the owner of Pink Eraser Press. Molly has been creating and editing books for two decades, first in Boston and since in Maine. Molly especially enjoys working on family stories, the humanities, the environment, poetry, short fiction, memoir, and narrative nonfiction. She prioritizes books by people who are less represented by the publishing industry.

Andrew Griswold

Designer

Andrew learned book design and layout while working as Creative Director at The Telling Room, an educational nonprofit that coaches youth on writing and introduces them to book publishing. He’s designed over 150 books in the past decade, and founded Pink Eraser Press as a partnership with Molly, working to create keepsake books that reflect the stories they contain. He’s also been an educator in schools and nonprofits nationwide since 2000.

Ashley Halsey

Designer

Ashley is a graphic designer, illustrator, and art director. She began her career as a book designer in New York City, where she worked for seven years before moving to Maine. Ashley has worked with a variety of book publishing clients for the past fifteen years, including large and small publishing houses as well as self-published authors on all kinds of books. Ashley lives in Portland with her husband and daughter, where she can be found gardening, painting, or walking her family's dog.

Alex Jhamb Burns

Consultant

Alex is a writer and audio producer living in between Brunswick, ME, and New York City. She writes for Vogue’s culture section and was formerly a producer of Vogue’s podcast, The Run-Through. Before that, she worked at several different audio startups and public radio stations. She has also worked with many nonprofits in the immigration advocacy sector and with The Telling Room in Portland. 

Peyton Jones

Intern

Peyton is a sophomore at Bowdoin College from Knoxville, Tennessee. She is passionate about poetry and YA novels, specifically those that focus on mental health, feminism, and the LGBTQ+ community. She has a love for books and the art of writing, and outside of that also loves theater and crafting.

Caleb Friedman-Spring

Intern

Caleb is a senior at Bowdoin College, where he studies English. Outside of class, he works as a tutor in the Writing Center, plays jazz piano, and is on the Ultimate Frisbee team. Caleb grew up in Philadelphia before moving to Brunswick. He loves to read, cook, and be outside. 

Sophie Yook

Intern

Originally from Anaheim Hills, California, Sophie is a senior studying English and Asian Studies at Bowdoin College. She developed an interest in publishing after taking an Asian American literature course her first year and discussing how the industry can become more diverse, inclusive, and accessible for all writers and readers. Before coming to Pink Eraser Press, she interned at a literary agency, an editorial production company, and a publishing house, learning about each step of the publishing process. In her free time, she enjoys reading, running, café hopping, and watching sunsets at the beach.
